Finding the perfect self-propelled lawnmower
As part of the design team working on the redesign of Honda Europe, I was given the task of designing one of the most crucial and complex pages – the product specification page.
This was a key page in the customer experience, and the template needed to work across all Honda’s product divisions, including automotive, motorcycles, marine, lawn and garden and energy, as well as working responsively across a full range of devices. So different were these products that on first look, the data sets felt akin to trying to design for both a tank and a banana…
Working closely with technology and UX colleagues to understand the data requirements, I developed a flexible design that allowed the user to view different colour options, interrogate the technical specifications and switch easily from one product to another.
